Key Aspects of this Role
- Support the business as required, gaining an excellent understanding of finance transaction services, financial and technical accounting, financial systems, management accounting, forecasting and budgeting/planning across the business. This will be achieved through a rotation programme, where each placement will carry skill and task objectives
- Build effective and supportive relationships within the finance team and senior managers across the business
- Study for and achieve chosen professional qualification
- Benefit from a structured planning and review process to facilitate the success of the individual

Training and Development Assistance
We offer training which will be structured to allow you to study for a recognised professional accountancy qualification (CIMA or ACCA)
Individuals will be expected to pass exams at their first attempt
Markit will provide financial assistance with course fees, exam fees and annual institution subscriptions. These costs will be met in full on a first time basis. Where an individual fails at a stage of their exams, the company may provide assistance for study and exams, but tuition and exam fees are born by the individual. This is subject to management discretion.p>
Assistance will also be offered in terms of a contribution towards study / revision time.
Rewards
In addition to a generous study package, the role has an excellent starting salary
Future pay increments will be dependent on both the successful achievement of your work based objectives and examination success (post graduate conversion). This will be assessed twice a year after exam results are announced
Future Progression
Given the growing and dynamic nature of Markit and the finance function, there is scope for progression within the team from the graduate programme to a substantive position, with full responsibility for providing comprehensive financial support to the business
Qualifications and experience requirements
- A minimum 2.1 degree plus excellent A-Level results or equivalent
- Self starting and highly motivated individual, looking to prove their abilities in a demanding, delivery oriented environment
- The ability to take early responsibility and communicate effectively with management
- A strong desire to learn
- The ability to work effectively within a team
- Working knowledge MS Office applications (although training will be offered)
