Director/MD, Head of Credit Technology - London or New York
Role Summary
A high profile opportunity exists for a Credit Technology expert to join Markit Group to lead the development and strategic technology direction of Markit’s efforts in the Credit space. Markit has a diverse and rapidly growing suite of products and services. Credit products are an area of particularly strong growth and represent many unique challenges and opportunities. This individual will report to the CIO and work directly for Credit business heads on a dedicated basis.
Duties and Accountabilities
- managing current development teams and projects along with recruiting for future products
Business Competencies
- This individual must be able to demonstrate a proven track record of success in delivering complex development projects to tight deadlines within a commercial organisation - ideally within the financial marketplace.
- You must be very comfortable working with senior management and executives on setting product strategy and priorities, setting the pace for new product deliverables and assisting in driving the strategic direction for Markit’s Credit business.
- Deep Credit Derivatives product expertise and knowledge of the Credit markets
- Solid, demonstrable experience in leading software development projects
- Proven project delivery and execution
Personal Competencies
- The successful candidate must have the necessary leadership, communication and relationship skills to interface with developers, senior executives and product heads
- Proven development team leadership history and skills
- Demonstrable history of building working relationships while managing deliverables and projects among diverse teams
