Associate/Vice President, Product Manager

Role Summary

Markit requires a product manager to maintain and improve on current MarkitWire and MTP (Markit Trade Processing) derivative products. Furthermore the candidate will be responsible for creating new initiatives within any APAC country this dynamic business can lead.

Duties and Accountabilities

  • OTC Product development within the Banking industry
  • Regularly attend ISDA meetings, arrange product specific working groups within APAC region and be able to confidently speak/liaise with high level banking clients.
  • Be flexible in attitude and able to use one’s initiative
  • Implement global product plans through technical team members.
  • Work with IT and Sales to ensure new products meet time requirements.
  • Implement a strategic long and short term project
  • Manage all aspects of Equity, Rates products for the APAC region.

Please note we will look at a range of experience with the result that we retain flexibility to hire at either the Associate or VP grade.

Business Competencies

  • Derivatives experience
  • Degree educated
  • Experience of Investment Banking (Sell Side or Buy Side)
  • Organisation skills important
  • Awareness of MarkitWire and MTP is of value.
  • Banking industry/Finance knowledge

Personal Competencies

  • Enjoy a fast paced dynamic business environment
  • Be willing/able to adapt to changing environments
  • Hard working self motivated individual is required
  • Japanese and English written and spoken is required
  • Good reporting/presenting skills to clients/management are a must
  • A flexible team player with a mature attitude
  • Being able to organise and project manage a strategic plan for new products to a strict timeframe is a must
