Associate, J2EE Senior Engineer, Markit Trade Processing - White Plains NY

Role Summary

Markit Group Limited is looking for experienced technologists to become members of its North America development team based in White Plains, NY.

Duties and Accountabilities

• Analysis of business requirements and specifications
• Coding
• Testing
• Debugging
• Writing documentation for various agile development projects in the Markit Trade Processing Development Team.

Business Competencies

• Must have complete SDLC exposure and experience with several large-scale projects from inception to completion.
• Proficient with Object Oriented Analysis and Design.
• 7+ years of relevant professional experience
• Must have deep practical knowledge in J2EE serer side technologies including core Java, XML, Spring, Hibernate, JDBC.
• Working knowledge of Sybase/SQL or comparable RDBMS
• Have active hand-on experience
• Perl and UNIX scripting knowledge is a plus.
• Must have experience working with JBoss or other J2EE application server environment.
• Experience working in processing OTC Derivatives data is a plus
• Experience working with FpML is a plus
• Financial Industry knowledge and professional experience is a plus
• Experience working closely with business clients is a plus
