Role Summary

Markit Group seeks an experienced technical/business analyst. The candidate should have experience with software development, testing, and debugging. The position is based in our Midtown Manhattan office.

Duties and Accountabilities

Work with clients to create or improve their integration
Develop standard model implementations that clients can use to build their implementations more effectively
3rd Party adapters – work with vendors of commonly used applications to build interfaces to our platform
Work with clients to build extensible and reusable utilities for bulk processing not available through core product
Ownership of peripheral internal tools and some client facing elements of the system
Development of utilities for Engineering services purposes – e.g. production support analytical tools.

2nd Line escalation. Dealing with technical issues raised by established 1st line support team. Liaising with development and infrastructure teams as required to identify and resolve root cause – including analysis at a code-level
Work directly with clients as needed to understand and resolve issues; as well as how to use the system functionality to best achieve their business objectives
Coding, testing, and debugging

Business Competencies

Some experience yrs of experience providing technical support
Experience in Finance industry
A Computer Science or Finance related degree or equivalent
Understanding of OTC Derivatives a plus
Experience appling investigative techniques and problem solving skills to identify and resolve technical issues.
Ability to work with business stakeholders
Experience working in processing OTC Derivatives data is a plus
Experience working closely with business clients is a plus
