Role Summary
The role involves developing the data structure of core databases and calculation engines, implementing improvements to the data structure of the production databases.
This is an excellent opportunity for a junior developer to learn valuable T-SQL and database skills
Duties and Accountabilities
Initially the primary task will be creation, testing and running of scripts. As this process becomes more efficient, more development and implementation work will be undertaken. Possible future projects include involvement in the creation of a continuous build system, restructuring of major tables and accompanying refactoring of code, and performance-focused reviews of indexing and archiving strategies.
Business Competencies
- Strong academics in Information Technology or equivalent
- Consolidated knowledge of at least one object orientated programming
- Consolidated knowledge of the fundamentals of C#
- Familiarity with Windows server environment and .NET framework advantageous
- Familiarity with database concepts. Profound knowledge of T-SQL would be ideal
- Knowledge of full lifecycle processes
- Basic knowledge of different kinds of securities
- Fluent in both written and spoken German
- English is fluent enough for business
- Understanding and experience of financial services industry advantageous.
- Ability to understand business objectives and focus and prioritize multiple projects accordingly
