Associate, Data Analyst
Role Summary
Markit’s Dallas,TX office has an immediate opening for an analytical and detail-oriented individual to handle data maintenance, support, training, reporting, and business analysis activities for client’s Structured Finance Obligations, including CLOs, CBOs, and SWAPS. The position offers exposure to external industry entities such as portfolio managers, custodians, and agent banks. Candidate should display strong financial adaptability, PC skills, and expect full accountability for all assigned projects.
This position promises a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast growing and entrepreneurial, global company. The applicant will have drive, a can-do attitude, and an ability to juggle a wide variety of responsibilities in a fast-moving environment. The applicant will ideally reside within reasonable commuting distance from the Dallas office.

Duties and Accountabilities

Business Competencies
- Finance/Accounting Background (software development environment exposure a plus)
- Strong PC Skills
- Good Organizational Skills
- Spreadsheet/Windows
- Background or exposure to Software Development
- Banking or investment community experience
Personal Competencies
- BA or BS minimum
- Accounting/Finance Major a plus
- MIS or a Minor in a Technical field a plus
- Attention to detail and Task Oriented
- Independent Problem Solver and Team Player
- Strong Work Ethic
- Excellent Communication Skills
