Associate, Senior Developer, Quotes - New York City

Role Summary

Markit is looking for an experienced technologist to become a member of the Markit Quotes development team based in New York City. Markit Quotes is a high volume quote processing service that increases market transparency and reduces risk by providing real-time pricing data directly to portfolio managers, traders and risk managers.

Duties and Accountabilities

• Analysis of business requirements and specifications, designing, coding, testing and debugging of wide range agile development projects for real-time, high volume, distributed application platform.

Business Competencies

• Experience in all phases of SDLC
• Proficient with Object Oriented Analysis and Design
• Experience with real-time, large data volume production systems is essential.
• 7+ years Java/J2EE experience - Experience in designing applications based on Java/J2EE and Spring Framework
• Working knowledge of Oracle/SQL or comparable RDBMS
• Experience working in the financial sector would be an advantage

• Must be confident, articulate and fast learner
• Team player with ability to play lead role on a variety of projects using diverse technologies
• Willing to progress in an exciting, fast paced environment
