Associate, ABS Transparency Analyst, Structured Finance
Role Summary
Markit, a leading provider of independent data, portfolio valuations and over-the-counter (OTC) derivatives trade processing, announced that it is working with leading dealers to facilitate the distribution of European asset-backed securities (ABS) prospectuses and investor reports in a freely available manner. Dealers involved in this initiative include: BNP Paribas, Citi, Deutsche Bank, Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan, Lehman Brothers, Morgan Stanley, Royal Bank of Scotland and UBS. Markit will consolidate prospectuses and investor reports for European ABS transactions on a single website and will make the information freely available to all buy-side and sell-side firms and third parties, as permitted by local regulation.
The Structured Finance group covers different products such as the management of Indices (ABX, CMBX, and TABX), the Reference Cashflow Database, US ABS Performance Data, a CMO/ABS Cashflow modeling service, a European ABS pricing service and the European Performance Data platform.
This opening provides an excellent opportunity for graduates with relevant experience to establish themselves in the fast-growing CDS of ABS and European ABS market. We are looking for a motivated candidate to help with the development of Markit’s ABS Transparency Platform. Markit will consolidate prospectuses and investor reports for European ABS transactions on a single website and will make the information freely available to all buy-side and sell-side firms and third parties, as permitted by local regulation.
Duties and Accountabilities
- Developing and Enhancing the European Transparency Platform
- Acting as a client liaison for the data businesses in Europe. This involves communicating with the buy-side, sell-side and third parties to understand their needs to help ensure we are delivering and exceeding their expectations.
- Collaborating with the development team
- Learning about European ABS Performance Data, data processes and workflow management tool.
- Staying abreast of the development of asset-backed securities and CDS of ABS markets.
